D., NCC, LCPC, George Washington University, 1999, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education and the Coordinator of Counselor Education Programs. Dr. Asner-Self has special interests in cultural diversity and acculturation, trauma and resilience, and group work. ![]() Valerie Boyer Assistant Professor Dr. Boyer received her Doctoral degree in 2000 from Southern Illinois University, and is a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. She provides clinical instruction and is a faculty member in the CDS Program. Dr. Boyer’s professional interests include child speech-language development and alternative augmentative communication. ![]() Philip Burke Ph.D., Southern Illinois University, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois. ![]() Mary Louise Cashel Ph.D., University of North Texas, 1997, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Cashel’s clinical interests are in psychological assessment and therapeutic services to adolescents. Dr. Cashel is the recipient of the Beck Award for research in psychological assessment. ![]() Julia Champe Ph.D., NCC, Idaho State University, 2004, is an Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology and Special Education with a specialty in group counseling. ![]() Stephen J. Dollinger Ph.D., University of Missouri, 1977, is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Psychology program. Dr. Dollinger supervises child and adult clinical teams and is a licensed clinical psychologist. ![]() David G. Gilbert Ph.D., Florida State University, 1978, is a Professor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Gilbert supervised practica for Clinical Psychology graduate students and has areas of interest that include experimental approaches to psychotherapy, behavior therapy, and marital and couples therapy. ![]() Michelle Kibby PhD., University of Memphis, 1998, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Kibby’s duties include research, teaching, and training graduate clinicians. Her areas of interest include neuropsychological assessment and the treatment of children. ![]() Muthoni Kimemia Ph.D., University of Central Florida, 2006, is an Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology and Special Education with a specialty in culturally responsive counseling and counseling clients with HIV/AIDS. ![]() Frank S. Kosmicki Ph.D., Georgia State University, 2002, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Kosmicki’s interests include psychotherapy with adults and children with emphasis on developmental, interpersonal, and psychodynamic approaches. ![]() Kathryn Martin M.S., CCC-SLP, Southern Illinois University, 1988, is licensed by the state of Illinois. She provides clinical instruction and is a faculty member in the CDS Program. Ms. Martin is a lecturer in the Rehabilitation Institute with professional interests to include language, pragmatic, and learning disabilities. ![]() Shawna Pope M.S., CCC-SLP, Southern Illinois University, 1998, is licensed by the state of Illinois. She provides clinical instruction and is a faculty member in the CDS Program. Ms. Pope is a lecturer in the Rehabilitation Institute and her professional interests include early intervention, geriatric communication and autism. ![]() John Reimbold M.S., CCC-A, Southern Illinois University, 1982, is licensed by the state of Illinois. He provides clinical instruction and hearing and auditory processing evaluations as well as serving as a faculty member in the CDS Program. Mr. Reimbold is a Senior Lecturer in the Rehabilitation Institute and has professional interests including the evaluation, treatment and management of auditory processing disorders. ![]() Benjamin Rodriguez Ph.D., Catholic University of America, 2003, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Rodriguez has special expertise and interest in anxiety disorders including PTSD and is heavily involved in providing services to veterans. ![]() Travis Smith Ph.D., Idaho State University, 2009, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education and is a licensed clinical counselor. |
